McKeller girls....

4 girls....WOW! This photo shoot was especially fun for me because I've watched the McKeller girls grow up. I started babysitting for them when Claire, the youngest of the gang, was in diapers! I absolutely love this wild and crazy bunch. And Im in love with these photos. They bring out the true color and fun this bunch has together...

Colorado...

Chris and I are currently in Colorado searching for the perfect town to call home for 2010! Its been such a wonderful vacation so far: good friends, cold weather, snow and best of all some relaxation! We are staying with my best friend, Stephen and his girlfriend Jen. So since Stephen does all my website work, I have repaid him with free photography for life! Which will soon be put to good use, since they are expecting a BABY in April! We took a little walk down to the lake near their home in Frisco, CO, a gorgeous place to do photos. Just one for now....

Fall is here.... (Asheville Photographer)

Fall is definitely here! My favorite season and the busiest time of year for my business. Unfortunately, if you haven't booked your Christmas Card Portrait session I'm booked every Fri, Sat and Sun this month. But if you hurry I can squeeze you for a weekday photo shoot!

Chris and I are headed to Colorado tomorrow...yipee!!!! In search of the prefect little mountain town to call home. I'll get to see my best friend, celebrate my birthday in the Rocky Mountains and see the lively Hagan kids!

Baby Everett......

He's finally here! The long awaited arrival of Everett was well worth it. What a handsome little one. Emilee and Adam have truly been blessed.

Top Five...

I'm always really hard on myself when it comes to my photography. However when I had to pick my top 5 images to submit for a contest....WOW was it hard! Of course there were a few images that stood out immediately in my mind, then I started searching through old photos and dozens started catching my eye. So this became a very hard task for me...

Instaproofs.com the site which I host my client image proofing through is hosting a photo contest.
"The rules for this are pretty simple... we are looking for submissions of up to five landscape oriented images. The images can be from any type of event, and can be any style of photography. Each of the winning images will be randomly featured and displayed on the following pages of our website for the next six to ten months: home page, event search, contact form, account created, and photographer login."

After about an hour of hair pulling, clicking back and forth on photos I narrowed my top 5, in no particular order to these:

Naturally the infamous "lollipop girl" photo made it into my top 5! Little Miss AnnaKate has become a KaeLee.Denise Photography icon. Her photo appears on all my business cards, WNC Parent Magazine Ads and Brevard Cable Magazine Ads. I had a friend tell me last month that when she sees the "lollipop girl" she knows its KaeLee.Denise Photography. And trust me, her family gets free photos for life! hahaha


The Brown Boys! They were one of my first "real" family photo shoots...guinea pigs we should say. The Brown family agreed to let me practice my photography on them when my business was first starting up, which I greatly appreciate. I love this photo because it shows that despite the fact that Hayden and Ethan don't want to show their brotherly love, it shines through..


My mom and her friends make fun of me for being a "foot" photographer. I just think that baby and kid feet are so cute and show character. So naturally I had to use two of my favorite "feet" photos.....

Baby Delena! She was one of the easiest and prettiest babies I've ever photographed. Delena's mom actually came up with this idea and I absolutely love the way it turned out!


Many of you may recognize these feet. Clara and Grace, the subjects for many of my crazy photography ideas. This one popped into my head while at work and of course we had to try it out right away. The girls were very intrigued to why I was putting "letters" on their feet. Capturing a photo where their feet weren't completely wiggling everywhere was a challenge..


Last but not least....The Cowart family, which since this photo has added a new member to the family! Candy was one of my first maternity photo shoots (though you cant even tell in this photo). I also wanted to capture the love and bond between Candy and Eric as a couple...

Baby Adeline...

Despite the fact that she has been teething all week Adeline was quite happy on this chilly October morning! And she LOVED my new hat. I purchased two stocking caps off Etsy.com for baby photoshoots and it was fun to try them out today. Adeline was a great model!
